Prohire Supplies First Batch of Temperature Controlled Vehicles to Fairfax Meadow!

Fairfax Meadow the UK’s favourite foodservice catering butcher has been putting great meat on the menu for almost 50 years. They have recently taken delivery of two new DAF 26t Multiple temperature Rigid vehicles supplied by Cold Chain Federation member Prohire Limited, national contract hire and fleet management provider.

The vehicles which have been supplied on long term contract hire including full repair and management, along with the all-inclusive maintenance of the Thermoking refrigeration system and DHollandia slide-out tail-lift includes a number of driver orientated and safety features including automatic transmission, red seat belts, air conditioning as well as being suitable for operation within the new extended London low emission zone with the fitment of appropriate camera systems, and left hand turn audible warning both external sounding for pedestrians and cyclists plus in-cab warning for the driver in the event that a vulnerable road user is within close proximity of the nearside of the vehicle.

Load temperature stability is a key element for Fairfax Meadow who deliver a wide range of meat products to hospitality and foodservice venues throughout the UK, so this is achieved by a combination of the Solomon Insulated body and the Thermoking T1200 Spectrum multiple temperature unit capable of dealing with both chilled and frozen meat products.

To complement the new vehicles, they have been fitted with an entirely new striking cab and body livery designed by the marketing team at Fairfax Meadow, who took great care to ensure the new livery design conveyed the quality and freshness of the superb products marketed by the business.

The striking image of quality steak is accompanied by the strapline, “passionate about sensational steak”.
