This exciting new initiative is designed to support the development of future leaders in the temperature-controlled logistics industry.
We have awarded bursaries for its Emerging Leaders programme to Valentina Florina-Drescanu from Oakland International and Kale-Yves Chrouch from Lineage Logistics. Florina-Drescanu is Oakland’s operations manager, based in Bardon, while Chrouch is a depot support manager.
Come back over the next 12 months for regular updates and on how to apply for next year’s scheme.
Backing the Future
The Cold Chain industry is fast-paced and constantly evolving. Recognising the need to develop future skills, the Cold Chain Federation has created this program to empower the next generation of leaders.
The Programme
Starting in 2024, two outstanding individuals working in temperature-controlled logistics will be selected each year to participate in this program. These rising stars will benefit from a comprehensive package designed to cultivate their leadership potential:
- Tailored Leadership Course: A 12-month program that partnered with The Leadership Trust, combining residential courses, online workshops, and coaching modules. Find out about the course here.
- Industry Exposure: Participation in the Cold Chain Federation’s key events, including the Climate Summit, the CCF Parliamentary Reception, and Cold Chain Live!
- Media Training: Gain experience communicating through industry media, including an interview in Cold Chain News magazine.
I would recommend a career in logistics to any young person just starting out. There are so many different avenues to progress within the industry. It’s such a diverse and well structured industry to be involved with. I am extremely glad to have been given the opportunity to begin my second career in the logistics and transport industry with my company
Tim Buckley
