Frozen Temperature Set Points: Introducing New Guidance to Reduce Emissions and Cost from your Fleet

Wednesday 14th January @10:00-11:00
Join us for a practical webinar introducing new guidance on frozen temperature set points and how small, safe adjustments can reduce emissions and operating costs across refrigerated fleets.
What you’ll learn:
- Why every degree matters when it comes to emissions and cost in frozen transport
- Key findings from new research into safely reducing frozen temperature set points
- How fleets can apply this guidance to lower environmental impact and operating costs
Accelerate your energy transition journey with funded solar / BESS and roof

Tuesday 24th February @12:30-13:15
Cold chain operators face increasing pressure to reduce energy costs, improve resilience, and upgrade ageing infrastructure while keeping pace with sustainability expectations. We are joined by Simon Booth from Zestec who will introduce a new proposition that enables organisations to adopt funded solar PV, funded solar + BESS, or part-funded roof-upgrade packages through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Participants will gain clarity on how the funding structure works: solar-only and solar+BESS systems can typically be delivered with zero client CapEx, while projects involving roof upgrades may require a shared-cost, part-funded contribution from the client. We will outline how this model helps businesses accelerate their energy transition, reduce exposure to volatile energy markets, and future-proof essential cold-storage infrastructure — all with minimal upfront investment.
The proposition is available to cold chain businesses and the wider market, but this session is tailored to the specific needs and operating conditions of Cold Chain Federation members.
Smart Energy Solutions for a Decarbonised Cold Chain

Tuesday 17th March @12:30-13:15
The cold chain industry faces increasing challenges around sustainability and energy management. Today we are joined by Paul Cropper, Technical Director at GreenChill Systems to explore practical technologies that help cold chain fleet operators meet these challenges without major infrastructure changes. Join us to gain a clear understanding of how these technologies work, their practical applications, and the measurable benefits they can deliver for cold chain operations.
- Retrofit or new-build solutions for refrigerated trailers to eliminate diesel use.
- Solar-Electric System [SSE]: Up to 20+ hours runtime, rooftop solar panels, modular battery packs. Solar panel durability and performance in varied conditions.
- Telematics and Data Insights. Real-time monitoring of solar generation, fridge energy use, battery state of charge, and temperature control. How data supports proactive management and operational efficiency.
- Digital Power Management System. How smart power distribution between trailers and warehouses works. Features such as remote fridge control, smart charging, Vehicle-to-Depot (V2D) energy flow, and battery monitoring. Benefits for grid stability, cost control, and carbon reduction.
- Solar-Kinetic System: Adds kinetic energy recovery for long-haul, extended runtimes.
An Introduction to the Cold Chain

Friday 27 March @10:00-11:00
This webinar is for anyone interested in developing their understanding of the UK cold chain. We will share the latest intelligence on the size and make up of the sector, including key market factors and our unique policy and operational challenges. There will also be an opportunity to hear more about the Cold Chain Federation, including who our members are and how we represent them as the voice of the industry and provide the latest bespoke events and guidance. Attendees will also have an opportunity to ask their questions.
