There’s just under a month to go until Foodex Manufacturing Solutions returns to the NEC, Birmingham (24th – 26th April). Opening its doors for the first time in five years as part of the UK Food & Drink Shows, the flagship event for the processing, packaging and logistics industries will offer visitors an unrivalled opportunity to see the latest trends, products and challenges set to shape the industry in 2023 and beyond.

A Showcase of Innovation
A fourth industrial revolution, centred on technology, automation and sustainability has been on the manufacturing agenda for several years and a range of the products set to be on show at Foodex Manufacturing Solutions are testament to this. Consider Tenero-F Gel by Devro, a 100% plant-based coextrusion gel for fresh sausages, which is being introduced to the market for the first time at the show. Find them on Stand N151. Foodex Manufacturing Solutions will also feature the Ingredients Zone in 2023, a highly-specialist sector dedicated to giving those brands a platform to showcase the most ground-breaking new ingredients on the market. Food Manufacture Live Programme: The Race to Net-Zero
The Food & Drink Federation has set its members the ambition of being net-zero by 2040. Is this achievable and what is being done across the industry? This seminar discusses what priorities food and drink businesses should have and the impact rising inflation and the cost-of-living crisis could have on this target. 12:30pm – 1:15pm, Tuesday 25th April.
Food Manufacture Live Programme: Does meat have a future?
For a vocal minority, it’s a major cause of climate change – while consumers worried about mixed health messages are getting an appetite for plant proteins. The debate as to whether this climate represents a threat or opportunity will be on during this seminar, as well as discussing how companies can promote products without seeming defensive and where the category will be five years from now. 2:00pm – 2:45pm, Wednesday 26th April.

For the first time, Foodex Manufacturing Solutions will be offering visitors a unique way to experience the show thanks to its partnership with Sitka which will be supplying advanced technology including indoor show navigation, digital show guides and more. Foodex Manufacturing Solutions will run alongside Farm Shop & Deli Show, National Convenience Show and Food & Drink Expo as part of the UK Food & Drink Shows.
