COVID Restrictions Lifted From 19 July – is Your Business Prepared?

On 5 July, Boris Johnson announced that the government plans to go ahead with the final step of the roadmap on 19 July – which includes the end of work-from-home guidance, scrapping social distancing rules and the legal requirement to wear face coverings in England.

This shock announcement comes as coronavirus cases continue to rise sharply – with around 1 in 260 people testing positive for COVID-19 in the week ending 26 June 2021* – and the government urging that we must ‘learn to live’ with COVID.

This presents a number of serious challenges to employers. The HR and Health & Safety experts of Cold Chain Federation member, Citation, have created two exclusive guides to help – from managing employees who are reluctant to return to the workplace to how to manage employees who present with COVID symptoms.
