Labcraft shines brightly at Cold Chain Live!

Cold Chain Federation member Labcraft, industry-leading designers and manufacturers of low-voltage LED lighting for commercial vehicles, is showcasing a range of innovative lighting solutions at this year’s CCF conference, including products designed specifically for the temperature-controlled sector.

Hosted in Liverpool by the Cold Chain Federation, Cold Chain Live! 2023 will feature world leading experts, in open discussion regarding the practical challenges and opportunities in cold storage, transport, compliance, and sustainability.

Based in Essex, Labcraft has been a trusted provider of high-quality lighting solutions for the transportation industry since the 1950s. With a strong reputation for their refrigerated vehicle applications, including those for insulated vans and trailers, ensuring long-lasting performance and reliability.

Labcraft lighting solutions are designed with durable casings and fittings that ensure exceptional performance in temperature-controlled environments guaranteeing a well-lit workspace which increases efficiencies whilst working. Additionally, the high intensity LEDs emit a clean white light, promoting employee safety by preventing slips, trips, and falls in the workplace.

“We have been using Labcraft systems for many years,” said The Cold Consortium, the van conversion experts. “We ensure maximum safety for our customers and fit the Megalux Enviro as standard. Even in the daytime, ambient light can be insufficient to properly see inside the back of a vehicle and at night-time it goes without saying. Also, at very low temperatures, operators need as much visibility as possible to ensure a firm footing. The commitment of maintaining a safe working environment remains a top priority for us.”

All Labcraft lights are waterproof, R10 approved, and can be surface-mounted or recessed into most vehicle bodies and engineered to suit a broad range of vehicles and voltages, providing a bright and consistent light output.

Furthermore, to suit individual applications, Labcraft produce many bespoke lighting solutions for the temperature-controlled sector; the easy to install plug-and-play design   enabling manufacturers to maximise efficiency while keeping production costs down.

A strong environmental ethos

As well as providing low voltage energy efficient products, Labcraft is committed to protecting the environment through green manufacturing and carbon off-set activities. The Labcraft factory has a solar power system and is fitted with a biomass boiler to reduce emissions.

This ecological and responsible manufacturing process, says Labcraft, enables operators to help achieve their own green objectives, while benefiting from more effective lighting and low power consumption.

Visitors to Cold Chain Live! can also see details of Labcraft’s general lighting products including interior and exterior LED lamps for vans, trucks and trailers. All are low voltage LED lighting products used in many applications such as commercial, plant, emergency services, marine and leisure.

The Labcraft team will be present at the event on 14 – 15 September at STAND23.  Further information at: www.labcraft.co.uk
