Hultsteins add 3TRL to national support service network

Swedish/UK transport sustainable refrigeration manufacturer & Cold Chain Federation member Hultsteins are pleased to announce the appointment of a new service and support partnership with Warrinton-based refrigeration service providers 3TRL.

Part of the national temperature-controlled service and breakdown provider IntreGroup, 3TRL will install, maintain and service Hultsteins’ hydraulic fridge systems and on-board electric generators throughout the Northwest. Service Director Peter Brown is enthusiastic about the new association.

“3 Transport Refrigeration Ltd are delighted to partner up with Hultsteins. After meeting with MD Graham Usher, it was refreshing to meet a like-minded company who have sustainable refrigeration at the forefront of what they are doing. We see this as an exciting opportunity to be associated with a company that will be leading the way for years to come and drawing on our new facilities in the Northwest of England, we are hoping to play a significant part in what lies ahead. Here’s to a brighter and cleaner future.”

Hultsteins offer two distinct sustainable refrigeration products aimed at enabling operators to save both carbon and fuel by providing an alternative to traditional, diesel-powered transport refrigeration units (TRUs):

Ecofridge hydraulic and electric single and multi temp units for rigid truck applications and Ecogen, electric generator systems which, powered by the tractor’s PTO, drive any conventional fridge system and cut out the requirement for the diesel engine during transit.

Ecogen generates the 400-volt power needed to run a TRU and is a bolt-on, bolt-off solution with a life expectancy of over 10 years. It comes in two models – the Ecogen Lowline is sited between the axles on rigid-bodied trucks and two-axle tractors, while the Ecogen Slimline fits behind the cab and is ideal for gas-powered and 6×2 tractors where chassis space is at more of a premium.

Graham Usher, Hultsteins’ Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, comments: “The appointment of 3TRL to our national service network brings added expertise and assurance for our customers in the Northwest. This is another decisive step towards the completion of an unbeatable support service for the UK and Ireland.”

From their newly equipped workshops in Warrington, 3TRL provides a round-the-clock service with additional support coming from the IntreGroup when needed. Field service vans will be stocked with a wide range of fast moving fridge parts and the operation is geared to supply a full time break-down and repair service for all types of transport refrigeration systems – Hultsteins Ecogen and Ecofridge included.
