Chiltern Cold Storage Rebrands as JS Davidson
Cold Chain Federation member Chiltern Cold Storage, which specialises in temperature-controlled solutions, has entered an exciting new chapter in its 28-year long history by rebranding under a new name, JS Davidson.
The company, which now bears the name of its Managing Director John Davidson, has rebranded during a time of major expansion, which has been largely fuelled by the recent spike in demand for temperature-controlled services within the UK.
In the past two years alone, the company has invested a substantial seven-figure sum into enhancing its business operations following a number of high-profile contract wins to further streamline its operations in turn improving productivity and efficiency for the benefit of its customers.
With much change already being driven throughout the company, John Davidson sought to transition the business onto its next evolutionary stage after feeling that the old brand did not fully represent the company’s contemporary position as a one stop provider of distribution, ambient, chilled and frozen storage and supply chain solution services.
John Davidson and his team therefore took the strategic decision to redefine the business under a new trademark that would suitably echo its all-encompassing offering.
Equally, the JS Davidson team wanted the new brand to appropriately reflect the family-centric ethos of the company, a philosophy that has been ingrained within the business since it first opened its doors over 28 years ago.
Under JS Davidson the business will now be structured to offer five core services, which includes: ambient, chilled, frozen storage, and co-packing as well as a brand-new distribution service.
The rebrand was officially announced at the company’s official JS Davidson launch party which took place on 29th October at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough.
John Davidson, Managing Director of JS Davidson commented: “Our new rebrand comes at an exciting time for the company. While Chiltern Cold Storage was a well-known name within the industry, it nonetheless did not reflect the ethos or direction in which I wanted the business to go.
“With a background that has predominantly focused on cold storage, the company has since evolved and our offering today is considerably more far-reaching.
“Our range of services now portrays our true offering, which is essentially a supply chain solutions provider and a one stop solution for customers.
John continued: “We have put an extensive amount of capital investment into the business in recent years and we ultimately felt that a rebrand to reflect the business’ values, ethos and comprehensive offering was a natural next step and very much a springboard for future growth.
“For us it is an exciting time and is a move which will further reinforce our position in the marketplace and underpin continued growth. Along with focusing on our five core service offerings we are also focusing heavily on developing our talented staff as well as driving efficiencies throughout the business to ensure our customers receive the very best in service to ensure long-term sustainability.”
