Animal and plant health inquiry submission
The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee invites written evidence submissions to examine biosecurity measures for animal and plant imports to the UK today.
The call for evidence is the first of the Committee’s new inquiry on animal and plant health.
Animal and plant diseases and pests have far-reaching impacts not only on animal welfare and the environment but also on supply chains, agricultural and horticultural sectors, trade and human health.
The CCF will submit a response to the Efra Committee’s Call for Evidence.
This has been a key element of the new Border Trading Operating Model in terms of SPS, imports and the biosecurity at the border.
Individual CCF members are also encouraged to support our submission by providing evidence and case studies relevant to this inquiry. Please submit any information to Liam. The deadline for responses is Friday 29 January 2025.
