Having spent the last 15 years’ at the cutting edge of cold chain innovation, he possesses a great deal of knowledge about the deployment of low carbon technologies in the cold chain. Q. Why is it important to be a part of the Cold Chain Federation?

The cold chain federation is a key player in terms of building consensus for our industry’s position on the pathway to net zero. This consensus has to be built on a combination of aspiration, the genuine climate emergency and what it is technically and economically feasible to deliver without impacting the reliability of a critical piece of national infrastructure (the cold chain).

Once this consensus is built the Federation can also play a unique role in communicating to policy makers what the industry needs in order to achieve this shared vision. At FPS we believe supporting this dialogue is an important part of our company’s mission.

Our aspiration for our industry is to plot a path to net zero that is technically and economically feasible. We believe this can be best done by ensuring knowledge is shared between operators and technical solution providers to make it as easy as possible for everyone to discover what works and as importantly what does not as we embark upon this decarbonization journey.
